It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it. Actions speak louder than words. We’ve heard this a million times, is it true? Absolutely, especially when we want to connect with someone and get a response that we want.
The drunken idiots on a Friday spoiling for a fight. Imagine his words “Do you want a fight?” Now would you feel if he said that with a smile on his face? Ok imagine that with a death stare, popping veins and gritted teeth, shouting that same line! Which is going to have his intended purpose of scaring his victim?
Now imagine you’re meeting a stranger for the first time, maybe an important first date. First impressions are so important, right? So make a positive one with this powerful tip.
To make someone feel an emotion you want, GO FIRST.
If you want to make someone feel relaxed, then thats the vibe you should give to them. If you want someone to feel positive and happy, thats the vibe you should give to them, first.
You could probably recall a time when you were in such a good mood and everyone you met just opened up and wanted to talk. Or a time when someone you met was so happy and positive and the effect it had on you was the same and it made you instantly feel nothing but good emotions for that person (you probably bought them a drink right?)
So next time you meet with someone, new or old, GO FIRST. Feel the emotion you want them to have, make eye contact, smile and let the fun happen. You never know they might be the one buying YOU the drink.
